The route, step by step
Each of the 2 days combines route, history and rest. This is the complete program, step by step.

DAY 1
Lima – Paracas – Ballestas Islands
Morning departure from Lima to Paracas (approx. 3.5 hours). In the afternoon we take a motorboat ride to the Ballestas Islands, inside the Paracas National Reserve: along the way we see the mysterious Candelabra, a giant figure carved in the sand in the style of the Nazca Lines. On the islands we will see colonies of sea lions, boobies, pelicans, Humboldt penguins and other seabirds among the rocky arches. On the way back, free time at the port to photograph the sea lions and birds. Night in Paracas.

DAY 2
Paracas National Reserve – Huacachina (optional) – Lima
In the morning we tour the Paracas National Reserve: the Mirador de los Lobos, the Red Beach and the impressive cliffs falling into the Pacific, with its red sand formations and turquoise waters. After lunch (optional), we return to Lima with the option to stop at the Huacachina oasis in Ica for a dune buggy ride and sandboarding (optional). Arrival in Lima in the evening.

It is easy difficulty: you travel by bus and boat, with no demanding walks. The Ballestas Islands boat ride lasts about 2 hours.
What is the best time to do it?
It can be done all year round. The coast has a dry, sunny climate; in winter (June–September) there is light morning fog.
What will I see at the Ballestas Islands?
Sea lion colonies, Humboldt penguins, boobies, cormorants, pelicans and the Candelabra geoglyph along the way.
How many people are in the group?
We work with small groups: Max 12 people. The boat to the islands is shared with other travelers.
What does the price include?
It includes transportation, entrance to the attractions, bilingual guide and 1 hotel night in Paracas. It does not include lunches or the optional Huacachina buggies.
