DAY-BY-DAY PROGRAM

The route, step by step

This is how the day unfolds, hour by hour, with everything you'll do and where.

  1. DAY 1

    Puno – Taquile – Puno

At 07:00 am we pick you up from your hotel and head to the port of Puno to board the boat. We sail approximately 3 hours across Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world (3,812 m), to Taquile Island. On arrival, we walk uphill for about 45 minutes to the main square, at 3,950 m, from where the island and the lake are seen in all their magnitude; here we learn about the customs and the famous textiles of the island, recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. We enjoy a typical lunch (trout or quinoa) and, around 14:00, descend to the port for the return, arriving in Puno approximately at 17:00.
