  1. DAY 1

    Arequipa – City Tour

At 09:00 am we begin the tour at one of the city's most attractive viewpoints, Carmen Alto, where we see the three guardian volcanoes surrounding Arequipa — Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu —, the pre-Inca terraces and the countryside. We continue to the Yanahuara district to appreciate its sillar portals and the San Juan Bautista church. Then we visit the Santa Catalina Monastery, a true sillar citadel founded in 1579 (entrance not included), and the Neo-classical Cathedral Basilica of Arequipa, on the Plaza de Armas. We finish at the Jesuit Church and the San Ignacio Dome, one of the best preserved in the city. Return around 13:30.
