  1. DAY 1

    Arequipa – Colca Canyon

At 07:45 am we pick you up from your hotel and board the vehicle bound for the Colca Canyon. We make a short stop at Patahuasi for coca tea and continue to the bofedales (wetlands), where we observe different species of local and migratory birds depending on the season. Then we reach Patapampa, the highest point of the journey at 4,710 m, also known as the Viewpoint of the Andes: from here you can see the Mismi, Hualca Hualca, Sabancaya and Ampato volcanoes. We descend into the Colca Valley and arrive in the afternoon at Chivay, where we spend the night.
